We are already established as a single academy trust. What are the consultation requirements for us to become a multi academy trust (MAT) and take on another school?

Under the DfE guidelines your plan to form a Multi Academy Trust (MAT) will need to be agreed by the regional school’s commissioner (RSC) for your area. It is required that the academy trust consults with key stakeholders before starting formal procedures to convert to a MAT. Key stakeholders should not only include parents of children at the academy but also parents of all local children and representatives from other local schools.
