Entitlement to sick pay depends upon the employee's length of service.
Up to 4 months of service: | 1 month's full pay |
4-12 months of service: | 1 month full pay and 2 months half pay |
1-2 years of service: | 2 months full and 2 months half pay |
2-3 years of service: | 4 months full and 4 months half pay |
3-5 years of service | 5 months full and 5 months half pay |
Over 5 years of service | 6 months full and 6 months half pay |
Any sick leave in the twelve months prior to the start of the most recent period of sickness is offset against the employee's full entitlement. This also applies to an Academy school if they are using the transferred terms and conditions following the TUPE transfer.
