Do we need to have a dedicated internal audit committee?

Multi academy trusts and large academies (income over £10 million) must have a separate audit committee. Otherwise internal audit responsibilities can be added to the terms and conditions of an existing committee. Guidance concerning audit and assurance can be found in the Academies Financial Handbook.
