The consistent financial reporting framework (CFR) is a standard framework into which schools and PRUs should code their income and expenditure to enable production of simple, standardised reports for governors and local authorities. CFR enables meaningful benchmarking as income and expenditure is consistently reported nationwide. The Oracle ledger codes provided to Suffolk LA Maintained Schools comply with CFR and enable the LA to collate and submit CFR data for the DfE on behalf of Suffolk schools. Schools are asked to verify their CFR data early in the Summer term prior to submission to the DfE. Academies also have consistent reporting requirements and their detail is submitted to government through the AAR and also allows academies to complete benchmarking exercises.
