Are laptops covered when teachers take them home to use?

Laptops are covered for use at home but the employee needs to obtain permission from the Headteacher and ensure that they are kept securely at all times. As far as use of the laptop is concerned the Home working policy and guidance must be followed as accidental damage arising from misuse will not be covered, for example balancing a laptop on knees and then it falling to the ground.
